By creating an account or using Astro-Dating.com, you agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
What Astro-Dating.com Does
Astro-Dating.com is an astrological dating and compatibility service that helps adults discover and communicate with other people based partly on astrological compatibility.
The site uses birth information to calculate astrological relationships and may provide compatibility scores, interpretations, summaries, charts, and reports intended to help you explore the dynamics between two people.
Astrology is interpretive rather than an exact science. The scores and interpretations provided by Astro-Dating.com should not be considered objective measurements of a relationship or predictions that a relationship will succeed, fail, continue, or end. Scores and interpretations may change as we continually strive to improve the quality of the website.
The information provided by Astro-Dating.com is for personal insight, exploration, and entertainment. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Decisions about the people you communicate with, relationships you pursue, and people you choose to meet remain your responsibility.
Adults Only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Astro-Dating.com.
By creating an account, you attest that you are 18 years of age or older. You may not create an account or dating profile for someone under 18, and no person under 18 may use the dating service.
If you are an authorized adult who wishes to create an astrological compatibility comparison involving someone under 18, you may use Astro-Grid.com for that purpose. Astro-Grid.com is a compatibility-report service rather than a dating service and has different rules concerning birth information for people under 18.
If we have reason to believe that an Astro-Dating.com account belongs to or represents someone under 18, we may suspend or delete the account.
Your Account and Profile
You are responsible for providing reasonably accurate account and profile information and for keeping your password and account secure.
Your account is for your use. You may not impersonate another person or materially misrepresent your identity, age, or other information in a way that deceives other members.
Your dating profile may contain information you choose to provide about yourself, including photographs, interests, and personal descriptions. Astro-Dating.com may also display astrological information calculated by the site to help other members learn about you and explore astrological compatibility.
Please remember that information you choose to put into your profile can be seen by other people. Don't put information into your profile that you don't want other members to know.
Birth and Location Information
Astrological calculations require birth information such as your date, time, and place of birth. Astro-Dating.com stores this information so that the site can calculate your astrological chart and compatibility with other members.
Your birth information is not displayed to other members, except that your age may be displayed as part of your profile.
Location information used by the dating service is limited to information such as a city name or ZIP code. Astro-Dating.com does not intentionally display your street address or precise physical location as part of your dating profile.
Birth information can be extremely important to the accuracy of an astrological comparison. Astro-Dating.com is not responsible for inaccurate results caused by incorrect birth dates, times, locations, or other information supplied by a user.
Information We Collect
We try to collect only information that is reasonably necessary to operate the service.
Depending on how you use Astro-Dating.com, this may include:
- Information associated with your account, such as your name and email address.
- Birth information used to calculate your astrological chart.
- City or ZIP-code location information.
- Profile information you provide, including photographs, interests, and personal descriptions.
- Astrological information calculated by Astro-Dating.com for your profile and compatibility comparisons.
- Messages and conversations between members using the site's internal messaging system.
- Astrological comparisons and compatibility information associated with your account.
- Communications you send through the site's support or reporting systems.
- Basic technical information produced when you use a website, such as server logs, IP addresses, browser information, login/session information, and security-related records.
We do not use your personal information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to operate Astro-Dating.com. This includes creating and maintaining your account and profile, displaying the profile information you choose to make available, calculating astrological compatibility, helping members discover one another, providing internal messaging, responding to support requests and member reports, maintaining the security and reliability of the site, diagnosing technical problems, and preventing fraud or abuse.
Information may also be used when reasonably necessary to investigate reports concerning member safety or conduct, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the rights, security, and operation of Astro-Dating.com and its users.
Profiles and Other Members
Astro-Dating.com is designed to introduce people to one another. That means some of the information associated with your profile is intended to be shared with other members.
Your profile may display photographs, your age, interests, personal descriptions, astrological information calculated by Astro-Dating.com, and other profile information you choose to provide.
Your private birth information is not displayed to other members.
Please use judgment when deciding what to put into a dating profile. Avoid publicly posting sensitive information such as your home address, financial information, passwords, identification numbers, or anything else that could put your privacy or security at risk.
Internal Messages and Conversations
Astro-Dating.com provides an internal messaging system that allows members to communicate with one another.
Messages sent through the service may be stored by Astro-Dating.com. Although messages are intended for the people participating in the conversation, they should not be treated as absolutely private or guaranteed to disappear.
Messages and conversation records may remain after an account is closed when reasonably necessary to preserve the conversation for another participant, investigate reports or abuse, resolve disputes, protect users, enforce these Terms, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
Please don't use the messaging system to send information that you would be seriously harmed by having disclosed.
Treat Other Members with Respect
Astro-Dating.com is intended to help people make genuine connections.
You may not use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, defraud, exploit, or deliberately deceive another person. You may not use it to solicit money through scams, obtain another person's financial information, impersonate someone else, distribute unlawful material, or engage in conduct that could reasonably endanger another member.
Unwanted sexual harassment, threats, repeated unwanted contact, and other abusive behavior are not acceptable.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or remove accounts when reasonably necessary to protect members or the service.
Blocking and Reporting
Astro-Dating.com provides, or may provide as the service develops, tools that allow members to block another member or report inappropriate behavior.
If another member is harassing you, appears to be operating a scam, appears to be under 18, threatens you, seriously misrepresents who they are, or otherwise behaves in a way that concerns you, please use the available blocking or reporting features or contact Support.
We may review reports and take action when we consider it appropriate, but we cannot guarantee a particular outcome from every report.
If you believe you are in immediate danger or that a crime is occurring, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement authorities rather than relying solely on a report to Astro-Dating.com.
Astrological Compatibility Isn't a Background Check
An astrological compatibility score tells you about astrological compatibility. It does not tell you whether another person is honest, trustworthy, emotionally healthy, financially responsible, safe to meet, or who they claim to be.
Unless we specifically state otherwise, Astro-Dating.com does not conduct criminal background checks or independently verify every statement made by every member.
A high compatibility score should never be treated as a safety recommendation or a substitute for getting to know someone.
People can misrepresent themselves online. Use the same judgment and caution on Astro-Dating.com that you would use when meeting someone through any other online service.
Meeting Someone in Person
Meeting someone new can be exciting, but your safety is more important than any compatibility score.
When meeting another member for the first time, consider meeting in a public place, arranging your own transportation, telling someone you trust where you are going, and avoiding circumstances that leave you dependent upon someone you have just met.
Be cautious about sharing your home address, financial information, account credentials, or other sensitive personal information.
Never send money or provide financial account information merely because someone you met through the service asks you to.
You are responsible for deciding whether, when, and where to meet another member. Astro-Dating.com cannot supervise or guarantee the safety of interactions that take place between members, either online or in person.
Cookies and Basic Website Technology
Astro-Dating.com may use cookies or similar browser technology that is necessary for ordinary website functions, such as keeping you signed in and maintaining a secure session.
Web servers also normally create technical logs when pages are requested. These logs can contain information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, dates and times, and errors. This information may be useful for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the site functioning properly.
We do not use this technology to build advertising profiles about you.
Current Cost of the Service
Astro-Dating.com is currently free to use.
Paid membership options may be offered in the future. If paid memberships are introduced, the price, membership period, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and other important payment conditions will be clearly disclosed before you make a purchase.
These Terms and Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary when paid memberships are introduced.
Email and Communications
We may send email that is necessary to operate your account or provide requested services. This can include account verification, password resets, security notices, support responses, member-safety communications, and other service-related messages.
We do not sell your email address or other personal information.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or share your personal information with other people or businesses for their own marketing purposes.
Some information necessarily passes through companies that provide the technical services needed to operate the site. For example, a hosting provider transmits and stores website data and an email provider may process email messages. Their involvement is limited to providing those services.
Information you intentionally place in your dating profile is, of course, made available to other members as part of providing the dating service. Messages you send are made available to the person or people to whom you send them.
We may also disclose information when we are legally required to do so, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or other lawful requirement, or when reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, or a serious threat to someone's safety.
Protecting Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect account information and the systems used by Astro-Dating.com.
No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however. While we work to protect information entrusted to us, we cannot promise that unauthorized access, technical failures, data loss, or other security incidents will never occur.
You can help by using a strong password, protecting your login information, being thoughtful about the information you share with other members, and contacting Support if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account.
Closing Your Account and Deleting Your Information
You may close your account if you no longer wish to use Astro-Dating.com.
Closing your account will remove your account, profile, photographs, private birth information, and other information associated solely with your account to the extent reasonably possible.
Some information may be retained when there is a legitimate reason or legal obligation to keep it. This can include fraud and security records, support communications, member reports, and messages or conversation records needed to resolve disputes, investigate abuse, protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal requirements. Information may also remain temporarily in routine system backups.
Information retained for these purposes will not be kept simply for unrelated marketing purposes.
Your Profile Content and Photographs
You retain ownership of photographs, personal descriptions, and other original content that you provide to Astro-Dating.com.
By placing that material on the service, you give Astro-Dating.com permission to store, process, reproduce, and display it as reasonably necessary to operate your profile and provide the service. This permission exists for the purpose of operating Astro-Dating.com and does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload photographs and other material you place on your profile.
When your account is closed, profile content will be removed from active display to the extent reasonably possible, subject to legitimate backup, security, legal, and recordkeeping requirements.
Our Content and Intellectual Property
Astro-Dating.com, the Astro-Grid, their designs, software, scoring methods, report formats, astrological interpretations, written content, graphics, branding, and other original material are protected intellectual property.
Using the dating service or generating a compatibility report does not transfer ownership of the underlying software, scoring systems, interpretation library, website content, or other intellectual property.
You may not reproduce substantial portions of the site's interpretation library, systematically extract its content, copy or republish the service, or use automated systems to collect its proprietary material without permission.
Accuracy and Astrological Interpretation
We work to make the astrological calculations and interpretations provided by Astro-Dating.com useful and accurate within the system being used, but we cannot guarantee that every calculation, interpretation, score, or report will be free from errors.
Astrologers can also disagree about methods, orbs, house systems, interpretations, and the relative importance of different chart factors. The Astro-Grid represents one particular approach to astrological compatibility.
Most importantly, people are more complicated than any chart or compatibility score. A high score does not guarantee a successful relationship, and a low score does not mean that a relationship cannot be meaningful or successful.
Use astrological compatibility as a tool for exploration—not as a substitute for your own judgment.
Changes to the Service
Astro-Dating.com is an evolving service. We may improve or modify features, calculations, scoring methods, interpretations, matching methods, report formats, or other parts of the service over time.
Compatibility information generated at one time may therefore differ from information generated later using updated software or interpretations.
We may also need to temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance, security, technical problems, or circumstances beyond our control. We cannot guarantee that the site will always be available without interruption.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Astro-Dating.com and its owner or operator will not be responsible for losses, damages, relationship decisions, personal decisions, interactions between members, or other consequences resulting from reliance on astrological scores, profiles, messages, interpretations, reports, or other information provided through the service.
Astro-Dating.com is not responsible for the statements, conduct, actions, or omissions of individual members or for events that occur during communications, relationships, or in-person meetings between users.
We are also not responsible for losses resulting from circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including internet failures, service interruptions, unauthorized activity, third-party service failures, or loss of data.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending or Suspending Access
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to protect Astro-Dating.com or its users.
Reasons may include fraud, attempted fraud, scams, security attacks, harassment, threats, stalking, abusive behavior, suspected use by someone under 18, deliberate misrepresentation of age, impersonation, deliberate interference with the site's operation, conduct that reasonably presents a safety concern, or serious or repeated violations of these Terms.
We hope never to need this provision. Its purpose is simply to allow us to protect the service and the people who use it.
Changes to These Terms and Privacy Policy
We may update these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy as Astro-Dating.com changes or as legal and operational requirements change.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was most recently revised. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information or the terms under which the service is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate notice.
Your continued use of the site after updated terms become effective means that you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of Astro-Dating.com are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Astro-Dating.com in the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Questions, Privacy Requests, Safety Concerns, or Problems
If you have a question about these Terms, your privacy, your account, another member, or something that isn't working correctly, please use the Support link on Astro-Dating.com.
If another member's behavior concerns you, please also use the site's blocking and reporting features when available.
We would rather hear about a problem and have an opportunity to address it.
The Short Version
Astro-Dating.com is for adults 18 and older. Be honest about who you are, treat other members with respect, protect your account, and use good judgment about what you share and whom you choose to meet.
Astrological compatibility can tell you something interesting about the potential dynamics between two people. It cannot tell you whether a stranger is honest, trustworthy, or safe. A great compatibility score is not a background check.
We collect the information we need to operate the site, calculate compatibility, display your profile, and allow you to communicate with other members. We don't sell your personal information or use it to build advertising profiles. You can close your account if you want your profile and personal information removed, although conversations and certain records may be retained when reasonably or legally necessary.
And although we put a great deal of work into astrological compatibility, no chart or compatibility score can tell you everything about another human being. Getting to know the person is still the important part.
